Belvedere Road has been shut down near Florida Mango Road by Palm Beach International Airport after an 18-wheeled tanker rolled over, officials said.

Fire crews responded to the rollover crash around noon, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The saddle tank was leaking flammable jet fuel, but the leak is now contained, fire officials said. Four regional hazmat crews are on the scene from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and West Palm Beach Fire Rescue.

The surrounding area north of the crash is being evacuated for safety, according to fire officials. The tanker was carrying up to 8,000 gallons of aviation fuel.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office is directing traffic. As of 1:30 p.m. all traffic on Belvedere is blocked until Congress Ave.
