Osceola County mom shocked over separating students by sex on school bus
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) —
Separated by sex.
A mother in Osceola County is shocked and outrage after her daughter wasn't allowed on the school bus, WKMG reported.
"She's coming back, and she's like, 'Mom, the bus is only for the boys,'" the mother told WKMG. Her daughter then told her the buses were being separated. This one was for the boys and another was coming for the girls.
The mother says her daughter had to wait 20 minutes for another bus to arrive, according to WKMG. The school district says the practice goes into place when buses exceed capacity.
