BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Mote than 100 children with the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County spent their Saturday on a shopping spree.
The kids received $50 gift cards to buy clothes at Old Navy.
Each child walked into the store partnered with a volunteer from the Boca West Children's Foundation who made it all happen.
"Actually this is an event that is terrific for the kids but even more terrific for our volunteers," said Richard Zenker. "Our volunteers look forward to this every year, this is bit of a competition to be able to be one of the people who can take the children shopping and it's a win-win all away around."
The foundation has been doing this for the past 13 years and some said they had more fun than the children.

"When a kid smiles, you smile, so this is one of the happiest days of the year for me and I know it is for the kids," said Mary O'Connor of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
The excitement didn't end at Old Navy.
The foundation bused the kids to the Boca West Country Club for brunch. The kids also received a new toy and a food basket with all the items to make a holiday meal.
