Dramatic video provided to CBS12 shows a deadly ambush on a couple and their baby sitting in a car in Riviera Beach.

“It just hurts. It’s hurtful, really hurtful,” said Jackie Griffith.

Jackie Griffith’s 21-year-old daughter Joan is recovering after she was shot in the drive-by shooting Sunday outside of her home on 28th street.

“My daughter is going through a lot right now. Mentally, physically, emotionally she really going through it,” said Griffith.

Joan’s boyfriend of four years, 21-year-old Timothy Tatum was killed.

“The baby’s fine. No hurt. No harm. No damage, no nothing,” said Griffith.

In the exclusive home surveillance video you see the drive-by shooting as it happened.

The video shows a dark car pull up to the home on 28th street and a man in a light colored hoodie get out with a gun in his left hand.

He points it at Timothy Tatum who jumps into the backseat of the parked white car.

The gunman then runs over and shoots inside the car, before taking off.

While several people rush in to help one man grabs the 8-month-old baby from the car, as the young woman Joan Griffith crawls out crying for help.

“I could have lost my daughter and my granddaughter, but God didn’t see fit for it to happen that way and I thank God for it,” said Griffith.

Jackie told CBS12 she lost her son nine years ago. After coming so close to losing her daughter she’s begging for the violence to stop.

“We got to get out there. We got to reach them and find out what’s going on in order to save the next young man or next young lady from getting killed or being murdered,” said Griffith.

CBS12 stopped by the Riviera Beach Police Department Thursday to show them the surveillance video.

The sergeant we spoke with hadn’t seen it before, and asked for a copy for their investigation.

Investigators are still looking for the gunman and two cars, a dark colored Dodge Charger and a silver Nissan Juke. Police believe the cars may have been traveling together.
