WEST PALM BEACH (CBS12) — President Trump's visits to Palm Beach are nothing short of drama, but on Friday, tension was heightened when the President's motorcade was struck by a small hard object.
PBSO has identified the object as a 2 x 4 piece of wood, and has found the culprit behind the act - a group of local teenagers.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office was assisting the United States Secret Service Friday morning for the motorcade movement of President Donald Trump from PBIA airport along Southern Blvd. to his destination at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
While driving along Southern Boulevard, PBSO says a group of five teenagers threw the wood object at the President's motorcade between Parker Avenue and Lake Avenue.
The teens, who are not being identified because they are minors, all attend local middle schools and one confessed to the incident.
Charges will be filed with the PBC States Attorney’s Office.
