Preparing for the unthinkable: St. Lucie first responders train for mass casualty events

{p}With the help of a state grant, St. Lucie fire officials and Sheriff’s deputies partnered with San Diego based training company 'Strategic Operations' and make up artists to make the training as realistic as possible. (WPEC){/p}

“We’re practicing as if the threat has already been neutralized, so we’re coming in a mass response force to be able to care for these victims,” said Chad Crouse, Division Chief of training and safety for St. Lucie County Fire on July 18, 2023. (WPEC){br}
