A man and woman were killed in a crash in Lake Worth.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred near 10th Avenue and Military Trail around 3:34 a.m on Dec. 28.

Deputies say a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Francisco Cabello, was traveling westbound on 10th in the inside lane. A second vehicle, driven by 49-year-old Dalia Nieto, traveled eastbound on 10th on the inside lane.

A third vehicle, driven by Migel Serra, 54, also was traveling eastbound behind Nieto.

Cabello failed to negotiate the curve to the right properly, crossed into Nieto's lane, and violently crashed head on into Nieto's vehicle.

Nieto's car spun out, and Serra attempted to avoid the crash and veered left, deputies say.

However, the front of Serra's car ended up hitting the rear passenger of Nieto's vehicle.

Cabello and Serra came to a final stop with Nieto's vehicle wedged in between them.

Cabello and Nieto were pronounced dead at the scene.
