A man from Riviera Beach is accused of threatening to blow up the VA Medical Center.

Police arrested 62-year-old Rick Persaud on Thursday after getting a call about a bomb threat.

According to the arrest report, Persaud claimed to be a former Navy SEAL. He said he wanted to blow up the VA Hospital because he's tired of the hospital's treatment of veterans.

Investigators traced the cell phone call to a Wawa gas station on Blue Heron Boulevard where they arrested Persaud. He initially said he didn't call 911 until police said his number matched the 911 caller's phone number.

Persaud appeared in court Friday morning.
