WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man was arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office after trying to run down run down a male bicyclist with his car.
Marcendy Elie, 20, has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury.
According to the arrest report, as Elie was being transported to the PBSO Main Detention Facility for his crime he began to make numerous antisemitic remarks. The report says, he screamed, "f**** n***a jew b****, Kanye was right, gas the kikes." He further stated, "I would rather be arrested by a n***a then a jew."
The arresting deputy was of Jewish faith, the arrest report states.

According to the heavily redacted arrest report, the incident of the hit-and-run occurred on March 14, 2023 at around 6:29 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies realized that the victim who was hit had a deformity in his leg, he walked with a limp and he had a bruise on his left calf.
The arrest report states, the victim was riding with his bicycle with two other individuals. It's mentioned later in the arrest report, that one of the individuals was an 11 year old. It's unclear what the victim and the 11 year olds relationship was.
The victim was riding his bike when he noticed a Blue Toyota Corolla entered the neighborhood at a high rate of speed and turned left on 'southbound' on Headwater Circle, the arrest report reads.

The vehicle barreled towards him, the arrest reports reads, which caused the passenger side of the vehicle to strike the right grip of the bicycle handle bar. The victim fell to the ground.
The arrest report said, the victim yelled for the vehicle to slow down, but the driver, Elie, did not.
Elie then began to intentionally reverse and strike the victim in the leg with the rear bumper, the arrest report states.
The vehicle drove off and the victim contacted 911 and waited near the entrance of the community as he knew there was only one way in and one way out, the report says.
The arrest reports says, Elie in the Blue Toyota Corolla reemerged and was attempting to drive through the exit gate of the neighborhood. The victim began to record Elie driving in the vehicle, but realized that the license plate was covered. The victim ran towards the rear of the vehicle and ripped off the paper to reveal the Florida tag 07D-FRS.
Elie in the Blue Toyota then tried to run over the victim for the third time. The victim jumped out of the way and managed to avoid being hit. The Blue Toyota took off at a high rate of speed in an unknown direction, the report reads.
According to the arrest report, the victim took video of the incident and surveillance footage is currently being obtained through Homeowner Association.
Through a records check deputies found the vehicle belonged to a woman named Ermitha Germain, who said she lent her car to her to brother Mikenson Germain, who said he lent to his nephew, Elie.
Deputies contacted Elie who immediately said he did nothing wrong and the victim tried to hit him with his bike.
Deputies located Elie and in the car, the arrest report reads. In the trunk of the vehicle deputies found two unfired rounds ammunition and two bottles of prescription medication under the name 'Mikenson Germain.'
Elie was transported to PBSO Main Detention Facility on March 14.
