Man killed after crash in Wellington

WELLINGTON, Fla. (CBS12) — Investigators say a 77 year old man died in a crash with a 17-year-old driver in Wellington on Thursday.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office identified the crash victim as Jerome Goldman of Wellington.

The crash happened around 10 a.m. on Greenview Shores Boulevard at Chatsworth Village Drive.

According to crash investigators, a teen at the wheel of a Mercedes entered the intersection at a high rate of speed as Goldman made a left turn. The two cars collided.

The 17-year-old driver was airlifted to the hospital.
