Man charged with molesting two children in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS 12) — A West Palm Beach man has been charged with two counts of lewd lascivious behavior after police say he molested two kids at a home where he lived.

According to the police report, 38-year-old Sergio Gonzalez intentionally slid his hand across a 9-year-old boy's genitals in the hallway of their home. The report also states that Gonzalez molested a 10-year-old girl by sliding his fingers around her private parts while she was sleeping.

When the girl woke up, Gonzalez pretended to be sleeping, according to the report.

Gonzalez told police he doesn't remember the incidents saying, "Maybe it happened when I was drunk."

According to the police report, Gonzalez had been living in the U.S. illegally for 20 years.
