Lawmakers want to make wildlife abuse a crime

The disturbing video showing four men dragging a shark behind a high-speed boat went viral, sparking outrage on social media.

Now, state lawmakers want to make this type of animal abuse a punishable crime.

As wildlife officials continue their investigation, more abusive videos are surfacing as well.

One of the videos shows a man using a handgun similar to the one in the shark shooting video, firing around seven shots at a fish on a hook. Another video shows a man shooting fish at night, and a third captures a man pouring a beer down a fish's throat.

According to CBS This Morning, the man firing a gun in the video is a star on MTV's new reality show, "Siesta Key".

All of the videos are under investigation.
