Large gator attacks man in Central Florida

BUSHNELL, Florida (CBS12) — A Central Florida man was rushed to a hospital after he was attacked by a large gator.

Sumter County Sheriff's deputies responded to the call around 6:30 p.m. near the CR-311 canal in Bushnell. There, they found the man suffered from bites to the leg.

The victim was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

The gator, (pictured) is approximately 9-feet in length.
