A brush fire that's been burning for several days is threatening a South Florida fish camp.

Officials say the fire that started in southwest Broward County on Wednesday had grown to 4,605 acres (1863 hectares) and pushed south into Miami-Dade County on Friday.

Mack's Fish Camp owner Marshall Jones tells the SunSentinel that flames were about 100 feet (30.50 meters) away Friday morning, prompting an evacuation of the facility off of U.S. 27, on the edge of the Everglades.

The fire also threatened Everglades Holiday Park, forcing it to close to the public on Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a "red flag" warning for much of the area through Friday night due to low relative humidity and gusty winds.

Numerous agencies are working together to fight the fire.
