Lantana fire early Monday

Crews are on the scene of a fire at a restaurant in Lantana right now.

Lantana Police say heavy smoke is coming from Jack's Grumpy Grouper along North Dixie Highway.

A man was walking home from the corner store around 3:30 this morning when he smelled that strong odor of smoke and burning wood. He also said it was burning his eyes, making it hard to see.

That's when he called police.

Crews seem to have any flames under control, mostly just strong odor of smoke.
