LAKE WORTH, Fla. (CBS12) — A mega blood drive along is happening in Lake Worth.
The World Mission Society Church of God in Lake Worth is one of dozens of locations holding a blood drive to commemorate the Passover.
Organizers say about 300 people attended, some coming all the way from Jacksonville and Homestead.
“People cannot have life without blood. Sometimes people have surgeries and require blood or they have an accident and require blood donation to save their lives. So, for this very reason we want to also spread awareness about the Passover,” Carlos Losada with World Mission Society Church of God said.
Volunteers hope to help save lives, and draw attention to the Passover.
The blood drives will be taking place throughout the month of April along the east coast.
