Lack of space sparks fights at school graduation

Fighting erupted at an unlikely event - a graduation ceremony at a local high school.

Riviera Beach police tell CBS 12 News fights broke out Thursday evening at Suncoast High School, where JFK Middle School's graduation was being held.

According to authorities, there was not enough space for people at the middle school graduation.

And, because the auditorium was at capacity, police had to deny any additional folks from getting in.

So, a couple of parents got really angry and got into a fight.

Those altercations ended in two arrests.

We have reached out to the Palm Beach County school district for comment. We are still waiting for an official statement.
