Kids ring in the New Year at the Palm Beach Zoo for Noon Year's Eve
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
A large crowd of parents and kids rang in the New Year a little early on Sunday.
The Noon Year's Eve celebration at the Palm Beach Zoo attracts hundreds of people each year. Children visited the animals, got their faces painted and jammed to live music.
They later counted down as a sun dropped, signifying the start of the New Year.
"I think we are going to have to have dinner early and go to bed at a normal time," parent John Curtis said. "These kids are up at 6 a.m., no matter what time of day it is. So no ball drop for us."
The kids toasted to 2018 with apple juice.
