Kidnapped 2-month-old back in mothers arms

The 2-month old baby, kidnapped from her crib during a home invasion, is safe and back in the arms of her mother Monday.

Broward County Sheriff Deputies has arrested two people in the home invasion and kidnapping of 2-month-old, Taraji Kemp, Friday evening.

Deputies arrested Stephanie Augustin, 23, Saturday evening after a multi-county search. Augustin is facing multiple charges including aggravated child abuse, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed burglary of a dwelling, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and kidnapping. The Sheriff's office say she is being held without bond.

Deputies also arrested a 14-year-old male from Miami. The juvenile is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and armed burglary of a dwelling. In a release issued by the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the teen was armed with a gun the night of the kidnapping.

According to officials, the two are cousins and Augustin is a cousin of the infant's mother.

The infant was located safely at an Orlando hospital Saturday afternoon.

BSO investigators determined Augustin executed the home invasion and kidnapping with the teen. After she became aware detectives wanted to speak with her, she fled to the Orlando area where she has an apartment but was located near Fort Pierce on her was back to South Florida by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. The trooper noticed Augustin's Nissan Altima on the Florida Turnpike and called for back up to execute a traffic stop.

Several agencies were involved with the search including Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the Miami-Dade Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Florida Highway Patrol.
