A man hunting for iguanas with a rifle triggered a school lockdown in Boca.

It happened Tuesday afternoon.

Spanish River High School went on a code red lockdown as a precaution due to police activity in the neighborhood.

The district said police responded to the area after getting a report of a man with a rifle. Police quickly detained the individual and questioned him.

The district said the man never came on campus.

No one was arrested.
