Three people in custody, two identified in shooting at Hollywood Broadwalk

In an update from a shooting that occurred on Memorial Day on Hollywood Beach, police say they have obtained warrants for three suspects who were involved.

Police say one of the three is currently in custody.

The Hollywood Police Department says Ariel Cardahn Paul, Jordan Burton and Lionel JeanCharles Jr. were identified as shooters and will be charged with one count of attempted first degree murder, eight counts of attempted murder in the second degree and one count of carrying a concealed firearm.

Police say at around 1:30 p.m. Burton was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, with assistance of detectives from the Hollywood Police's Violent Crimes Unit.

Hollywood police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the remaining two suspects.

Police say as of Saturday the department has identified five suspects who were involved. They also seized five handguns, two of which were reported stolen.

Seven of the nine victims shot were released from the hospital. Two remain hospitalized in stable condition, police say.

CBS12 News reported on nine people being shot on the Hollywood Broadwalk on Monday, May 29.

The shooting took place along N. Broadwalk, near the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

Miami affiliate CBS4 previously reported at least four of the victims were minors.

A Hollywood Police Department spokesperson, Deanna Bettineschi, said an argument started between two groups at about 6:45 p.m.
