Florida law enforcement officers have assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety with more than 300 arrests as part of Operation Lone star.

Arrests made included charges for human smuggling, money laundering, drug paraphernalia, unlawful carrying of weapons and capital murder. An MS-13 gang member on the U.S. terror Watch List was also arrested, according to a Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) news release.

Over 400 Florida National Guard members, 30 Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agents and 101 Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers remain in Texas to assist with the mass migration crisis at the southern border, the news release said.

An additional third wave of 20 Florida Fish and Wildlife officers were recently deployed. They work with Texas law enforcement to patrol waterways along the border and offer humanitarian aid.

FHP specifically has been involved with 22 human trafficking arrests and almost 167 arrests total, the Friday news release said.
