Four systems brewing in the tropics

There are four systems to watch in the tropics. (WPEC)

The tropics are active again with four systems under the microscope.

The first is 600 miles SE of Cabo Verde Islands. Environment is conducive to formation and next depression could form next week as it moves west. There is a 60 percent chance of development through the next 5 days

The second system is about 600 miles east of the Windward Islands. Dry air and strong wind shear should prevent further development. This disturbance only has a 10 percent chance of development through the next 5 days

The third system is an area just southeast of Bermuda. The environment isn't favorable now, but development could be possible by the middle of next week. This system has a 20 percent chance of development through the next 5 days.

The fourth area is in the northern Atlantic. Conditions are expected to become favorable for formation and a subtropical or tropical system could develop late this weekend or early next week. This system has a 70 percent chance of development through the next 5 days.

None of these areas is posing any immediate threat to the US or south Florida
