A 20-year-old man is accused of having sex with a young girl, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office said.

The girl's mother was contacted by a school guidance counselor on Dec. 14, informing her that her daughter may be involved with an adult man, according to the sheriff's office. She confronted her daughter and she said that the girl met a man named Cesar Urbina through Instagram and their relationship became sexual.

The girl had been chatting with Urbina through Instagram for about a month, the sheriff's office said. On Dec. 11, the girl said she agreed to skip school and Urbina picked her up. She initially thought Urbina was 17, but later found out through friends he was actually 20.

Urbina drove her to Inlet State Park, according to the sheriff's office. While they were sitting in the car, they started kissing and he eventually pressured her to have sex. The girl said Urbina kept pressuring her until she eventually gave in to make him happy.

They ended up having sex in his car and the girl said he didn't use a condom, the sheriff's office said. The girl told deputies they had sex two more times on Dec. 12 and Dec. 14.

When deputies met with Urbina, he said he met the girl through Instagram, but denied having sex with her on the 12th and 14th.

Urbina is now facing three counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a victim between 12 to 16 years old.

He is being held on a $90,000 bond.
