Former swim coach pleads guilty to inappropriately touching student
BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) —
A former swim coach at Boca Raton Community High School pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.
Eric Hill became the focus of an investigation last April after a 17-year-old girl on the water polo team told authorities Hill grabbed her rear-end on multiple occasions. According to the School District Police report, the girl told Hill to stop but he didn't listen. The district did not renew his contract when it expired in June.
The 42-year-old former coach did not attend a hearing on Thursday morning. He lives out of state. He's performed 30 hours of community service and has 90 days to repay court costs, according to his attorney.
