Florida inmate denies syringes pulled from rectum are his

    CLEARWATER, Fla. (CBS12) - A man arrested on a warrant for drugs in central Florida is facing a new charge of smuggling contraband into the jail after pulling three syringes from his rectum during a strip search.

    According to the arrest report from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, 40-year-old Wesley Dasher Scott told deputies he found the syringes and they didn't belong to him.

    Scott, of Clearwater, said he didn't have anything on him prior to his trip to jail. The arresting deputy said Scott also admitted to knowing what would happen if he brought anything hidden into the jail.
