Florida elementary school students under investigation for school gun threat
BUSHNELL, Fla. (CBS12) —
Two elementary school students are under investigation for making school gun threats in central Florida.
According to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, students at Bushnell Elementary School on Wednesday said they heard two boys talking about bringing guns to school and shooting teachers and classmates.
Deputies went to the homes of the kids and found neither had access to a firearm.
The Sumter County Sheriff's Office says it takes school threats very seriously and the juvenile male students could still face misdemeanor criminal charges.
