PLANT CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — It wasn't the shift Master Deputy Daniel "Red" Jones was expecting.
While patrolling Highway 60 outside Tampa Sunday, a driver approached him in a panic, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The driver's wife was about to give birth.
Without hesitation, a press release said, Red sprang into action - as he has done two times before.
Alongside the father, Red helped the delivery process while waiting for additional emergency responders to arrive.
A video captured on Red's lapel camera shows him helping the family, telling the mother, "breathe through mama, breathe through!"
Once the baby girl was outside the womb, Red exclaims how beautiful the sound of her first few breaths of air.

It only took a few minutes before, "a beautiful, healthy baby girl was born," the press release announcing the birth said.
"While delivering in the front seat of a car was not the original birth plan, Master Deputy Jones reassured the mother of six that she was in good hands. I wish mom, dad, and their new baby girl all the joy and happiness. Congratulations!" a statement provided by Sheriff Chad Chronister said.
