A 46-year-old man has died after being struck by a car on Sunday.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office says a 15-year-old driver was exiting the Burger King drive-thru on North Dixie Highway in Lake Worth, when he spilled his drink and got distracted.

Deputies say a pedestrian was sitting on a stoop in front of a building next door to the fast-food restaurant when the teenager drove off the roadway and collided with the building and the pedestrian.

Deputies say the man was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries from the crash.

According to authorities, the driver did not suffer any injuries.

Next of kin has been notified.
