Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office deputies, along with grieving family members, are looking for any information that may lead authorities to a group of suspects accused of murdering a man back in January.

Jesus (Chui) Torres was killed in the front yard of his home on the morning of Jan. 31, the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office said. The alleged killer is described as a young, tall skinny Black man. He was accompanied by two tall, skinny Hispanic men.

"Please anybody that knows anything to please come forward," said SanJuanita Lopez, an emotional sister of the shooting victim. "He was the most loving, sweet teddy bear that you could ever think of in your life. We miss him terribly. Not a day goes by that me or my sisters or my dad don't think about him. They think about that day of what happened. We just want justice. And we want peace."

Deputies say they were seen in a dark gray Dodge Charger with tinted windows.

Anyone with information about Torres' murder is asked to contact Detective Dale R. La Flam at diaflam@okeesheriff.com or 863-763-3117 ext. 5023. You can also call Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-8477.
