BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — What started as a call about an assault ended up being a lot more, and it stemmed from a couple's bad breakup.
Early Saturday evening, Boca Raton police got to the victim's apartment complex and found Emmaneul Lewis, 26, in his car, ramming the back of hers. A police officer wrote in the arrest report, “I conducted a felony stop to remove Lewis from the vehicle without incident.”
“Both parties advised that they ended their relationship on 10/21/22,” the report said.
She told the officer, according to the report, “Lewis was sending her text messages threatening to kill her. They were dating for approximately 3 years. [The victim] provided the text messages from Lewis that showed Lewis sending her a picture of a black firearm with ammunition.”
The text message said, “You dead h__ You ready for death b____... I don’t got s___ to loose b____ I have a - gun and I’m killing you today no threats this time and anyone with you catching one to b____ watch count your hours as a mother ima show you some coconut creek s___ h__ with a bullet right in yo head.”
Earlier, the victim said Lewis started driving from Coconut Creek, where he lives, “parked outside of her apartment and began to knock on the door and attempted to enter the residence by manipulating the door handle to the residence. [The victim] relayed that she was in imminent fear that Lewis was about to enter her domain and carry out the acts in which he threatened.”
Reportedly, the victim even listed Lewis in her phone as “DON'T ANSWER OR RESPOND!” but “she was corresponding with him over the duration of the day.”

Police said Lewis “admitted that he intended to scare [the victim] by sending her the texts and photo of the firearms and driving to her residence.
“Lewis was also found to be in possession of marijuana, a grinder, and a scale. Lewis advised he had a medical marijuana card, but it was determined that his card expired on 1/28/21.”
Then, Lewis was found to be on probation from Fort Lauderdale. The term was supposed to be from June 25, 2019, to June 24, 2025.
That stemmed from one of two cases, both from Broward.
