Driver killed in head-on crash in Martin County
MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) —
A driver was killed early Wednesday morning after a head on collision in Martin County, according to authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a Hyundai Elantra was headed southbound on SW Citrus Blvd and made a left turn on SW 96th Street.
Another vehicle was heading westbound on SW 96th Street and did not stop at a stop sign, authorities say. The motorcycle ended up crashing in to the left front of the Elantra.
The driver of the vehicle was thrown from the car and landed in the intersection; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The FHP is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
