The Broward County Sheriff's Office is hunting for a man who they say stole an iPhone from a mother of three last month.

According to deputies, an unidentified man swiped an iPhone laying on a McDonald's table bench in Weston. One of the children had placed the phone on the bench and left it behind, deputies say.

Surveillance video shows the mother looking for her phone while the man holds the phone and looks at it. Deputies add that the mother asked the man if he had seen her phone.

The man can be seen putting the phone in his pocket while the mother continues to look for it, according to deputies.

Deputies described the thief as a man with short black hair, a thin build and wearing glasses.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the case to contact BSO Detective K. Toro at 954-626-4009 or to submit a report anonymously at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
