Martin County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for someone or a group of people who are stealing and damaging Christmas decorations.

So far, deputies received four separate complaints from throughout the county.

Two homes in Indiantown had decorations stolen, a home in Jensen Beach, and community decorations in Palm City were damaged, according to the reports.

I thought that was horrible. That better not happen to me,” said Ivory Alleyne, from Indiantown.

She said just in case it does happen to her, she’s not finishing her decorations. She said, “I don't think I'm gonna put anything else up or buy anything else because I don't want anyone to take it.”

Alleyne said decorating is something that she looks forward to.

“There’s a touch of Christmas everywhere,” said Alleyne.

She said she loves spreading holiday cheer, especially for children. My grandson came over yesterday evening and the first thing he said, he says grandma lights!”

Alleyne hopes whoever is doing this they take a second to remember what the holiday season is really about.

“This is the time of year that you really think about others more than yourself,” said Alleyne.

If you notice anything missing from your display or notice anything suspicious, call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 772-220-7000.
