The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has identified the father and son possibly struck by lightning in Lake Worth on Tuesday.

According to deputies, 39-year-old Antonio Miranda and his father 71-year-old Enrique Miranda were cutting branches in a wooded area when three lightning bolts struck a tall Australian Pine Tree.

Both men were standing near the base of the tree when they were struck which caused them to fall to the ground.

Enrique managed to call 911 and direct dispatchers to their location. His son, Antonio, unfortunately did not survive, and was pronounced dead at 3:28 p.m.

Both men were taken to St. Mary's Medical center.
