LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (CBS12) — A meeting was held Monday night to address traffic concerns on Northlake Boulevard near The Acreage.
There's roughly a two-mile stretch of road without a traffic light and if people try to turn left during rush hour, they'll have to wait a very long time and actually put themselves at more risk of being rear-ended since there is no turning lane.
"Not to mention in a newscast from Channel 12, it also mentioned that Palm Beach Gardens police have clocked people doing 88 and that's with out presence," said Kathy Kreisler, president of Bay Hill Estates HOA.
Palm Beach Gardens police started patrolling the area in January.
Right now, city officials say they have enough money to fund the traffic light, but the county conducted a traffic survey a few weeks ago and says the traffic doesn't warrant a signal.
