Community in Palm Beach Gardens takes care of honey bees

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The Mirasol Country Club community in Palm Beach Gardens is making its neighborhood even sweeter with the new "Bee Inspired" initiative.

Thousands of busy European honeybees call Mirasol home, so the community installed 20 beehives in various aplaces throughout the area.

More than 430 pounds of honey have been harvested to date for use in culinary operations, like marinades, appetizers, desserts and cocktails.
