Car tied to fatal hit-and-run in Boca recovered

Family makes plea for justice in hit-and-run death of Kevin Scheinberg.

Investigators now have the car they believe is tied to a fatal hit-and-run in Boca Raton.

The crash happened Sept. 2 in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Yamato Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a Chrysler 200 changed lanes and clipped a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, 36-year-old Kevin Scheinberg lost control and crashed. He died at Delray Medical Center.

Soon after the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol released surveillance video showing a man in a blue shirt and red shorts leaving the scene of the crash.

Weeks later, troopers released a sketch of the possible driver as family members made a plea to the community for the driver to come forward.

Investigators recovered the Chrysler 200 in a body shop in Broward County, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Investigators are working to determine who was driving at the time of the crash.
