Boys and Girls Clubs receive $50,000 donation from Schumacher Subaru

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County received a large donation - $50,000 - from Schumacher Subaru of both West Palm Beach and Delray Beach on Wednesday.

The donation came from Subaru's "Share the Love" program, which takes $250 for each Subaru car sold during the campaign and gets donated to the car buyer's charity of choice.

"We feel privileged as an organization to be able to give back to the community," owner of Schumacher Auto Group Charles Schumacher said. "One of the ways we give back is to the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County because of the wonderful job they do taking care of our children."

The Boys and Girls Club's mission is to help all young people reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens, which the donation will help with.
