Boat catches fire near sandbar in Intracoastal

TEQUESTA, Fla. (CBS12) — A boat caught fire Sunday afternoon near the sandbar in the Intracoastal Waterway, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

Engine problems were the cause of the fire and the boat began to smoke just offshore.

It's unclear how many people were on the boat, but everyone made it off safely, according to the sheriff's office.
