Beckham soccer project on hold till next month
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
Soccer-star David Beckham will need to wait until later this month to move forward with his proposed soccer stadium in Miami.
Miami commissioners were supposed to decide whether or not to allow voters to weigh in on project Thursday night. However, after eight hours of deliberations, the conversation was tabled until next month.
Debbie Beckham sat front row waiting for a decision.
The problem: the proposed stadium would be built on public property.
If commissioners vote yes, voters will see the stadium proposal on the November ballot.
