Beaches reopen in Indian River County after red tide scare
VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
All guarded beaches in Indian River County are back open.
Recent tests came back negative for red tide, according to the Indian River County Emergency Service Department.
There is one exception. The opening of Tracking Station Beach Park is delayed due to cleanup.
Most beaches have been closed since mid-October because of red tide.
Gov. Scott on Wednesday allocated an additional $1.1 million for red tide cleanup in Palm Beach County ($500,000), Indian River County ($522,000), and St. Lucie County ($100,000).
