PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A possible Trump-DeSantis political showdown for the White House took to the skies over Palm Beach on Tuesday.

A banner plane flew over Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, carrying a message to the former president, just hours before he's set to make a major announcement.

The banner read "YOU LOST AGAIN DONALD! #DESANTIS2024."

CBS12 News has calls into the DeSantis campaign for more on the origin of the plane.

Trump may announce another presidential run at 9 p.m. Tuesday. And DeSantis has been eyed as a top Republican White House contender for 2024, even before last week's reelection as Florida's governor.
