The West Palm Beach Police Department is reporting more than 50 anti-semitic flyers were found in the Old Northwood neighborhood Saturday.

According to police, the flyers were placed along 25th through 37th streets in the Old Northwood neighborhood.

The flyers were in plastic bags and were weighed down by pellets.

One of the plastic bags criticized House Bill 269, a bill that was proposed by State Representative Michael Caruso. The bill would prevent the distribution of "any material that evidences religious or ethnic animus for purpose of intimidating or threatening owner or resident." It also prohibits someone from maliciously harassing, threatening or intimidating someone based on what a person's wearing as it relates to ones religion or heritage.

This is the second time this neighborhood has seen these flyers distributed and residents in the neighborhood are upset.

"It was disgusting, it was vile, it was clearly antisemitic, clearly has no place in the Old Northwood neighborhood. It’s not what we’re about in this neighborhood and it’s not what we stand for,” said Kathy.

According to the West Palm Beach Police Department PIO, Mike Jachles, the department has cited five men for littering in relation to this incident.

"We certainly have no place for hate in West Palm Beach...this is a welcoming city. It’s a diverse city and the message is if they want to do something like this do it somewhere else or don’t do it at all actually, so we will enforce the laws that are on the books," said Jachles.

Those five men were using a U-Haul pickup truck and are believed to be60-year-old David Young Kim of West Palm Beach, 40-year-old Jon Eugene Minadeo of West Palm Beach, 57-year-old Jeffrey Kidder Allen of Wisconsin, 46-year-old Brian Keith Hulliger of Bradenton and 33-year-old Nicholas Allen Bysheim of Maryland.

According toWest Palm Beach Police Department when officers confronted the five people, they became verbally aggressive and according to police were yelling racial slurs at officers.

The West Palm Beach Police Department tells CBS 12 News that it is working with the Palm Beach County state attorney in this investigation.
