Alligator spotted on side of road in Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) —
Residents in Boca Raton were greeted with the sight of an alligator Sunday.
One resident snapped a photo of the alligator as it sat on the road near the entrance of Our Lady of Lourdes along Palmetto Park Road.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission confirmed to CBS12 News they were dispatched out to respond to the call.
However, the alligator had already left before they could get there, they said.
They say it is not uncommon to receive calls about alligators in swimming pools and on the road. They always try to relocate them if that is the case, they told CBS12 News.
