Airline worker hurt after van falls from parking deck

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — An American Airlines worker is in the hospital after being at the wheel of a van that crashed through the parking garage at Miami International Airport.

One photo from Miami-Dade Police shows the crushed van on its roof next to the garage in the employee parking lot.

Another photo shows a hole in the barrier wall at least four floors up, according to CBS Miami.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m, police said.

How it happened remains under investigation.

The worker is in his 50s and being treated at JMH Ryder Trauma Center, authorities said.
