9 puppies killed in fire
FREEPORT, Fla. (CBS12) —
Nine puppies died in a mobile home fire in western Florida.
The tragic fire happened Tuesday morning in Freeport.
Crews with Walton County Fire Rescue found the family and their dog outside and flames coming from their home.
The family told firefighters their dog just had a litter of nine puppies.
Firefighters could not save them.
Investigators believe the fire started through some sort of electrical issue, Walton County Fire Rescue said. The American Red Cross is helping the family with emergency assistance.
This is one of two house fires that day in Walton County.
