WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Two people were killed on New Year's Day in a scooter crash in West Palm Beach.

Detectives say Francisco Amador, 56, and Daysi Infante, 65, were traveling southbound on Military Trail on a scooter when a car, driven by Karen Stiles, 79, drove into them from behind.

Amador and Infante were thrown from the scooter and died at St. Mary's Medical Center.
