Five people are behind bars and 17 firearms have been recovered following a gun shop burglary in central Florida.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office shared a photo of the stolen firepower back in safe hands.

Investigators say the burglars used bricks to break into a gun store in DeBary over the weekend.

The sheriff's office said it had surveillance on the suspect's stolen Nissan Murano and followed it from Orange County to DeBary.

Authorities watched as the group smashed their way into SWUB Tactical early Saturday morning.

The sheriff's office said the burglars stole handguns, shotguns, an AR-10 and ar-15 rifles before driving back to Orlando.

That's when deputies moved in. They arrested all five during a traffic stop.

Investigators say one stolen firearm remains missing.

The suspects all face armed burglary and grand theft charges.

The Volusia County Sheriff's office identified them as:

  • Jaquez Tuijay Smith, 19, Orlando
  • Marcus Ellington, 17, Orlando
  • Jaheim Shelton, 16, Orlando
  • Darrion Montgomery, 15, Orlando
  • Rodreakas Smith, 15, Orlando
