CBS12 Michael Buczyner is tracking Hermine's aftermath in Taylor County. WPEC.

Emergency crews are awaiting for daybreak to assess the impact of Hermine on Florida's Gulf Coast.

Leaders in Taylor County say the storm surge is over 10 feet.

It's devastating news for the people who live and work on the water.

A parking lot now looks like a river, thanks to overflow from a real river nearby.

The high wind also caused power outages and scattered debris everywhere.

Emergency crews rescued 12 people who became trapped in their homes overnight from rising water.

There are just minor injuries.
